The largest MICE workshop was held in Georgia

IMG Show Caucasus Chapter came to a close in Tbilisi on June 1. The participants of the event included more than 120 guests. 29 corporate exhibitors from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Sochi presented their facilities for Hosted Buyers from a dozen of cities of Russia.

"Georgia has never hosted a MICE workshop of such a high level! We have been fascinated by the companies that came to Tbilisi to get acquainted with prospective partners. They, in their turn, have demonstrated to the guests why business travellers should come to Georgia", chief operations officer of Convention and Exhibition Bureau of Georgia Amiran Ivanidze said. In his words, the should be held on the annual basis, because facilitates Georgia`s promotion as a MICE hub at the international level.

IMG Show Caucasus Chapter has a positive effect not only on the public image of the region, but also on the exhibitors` business activities, as it has become a venue where you can directly communicate with your target audience in a comfortable job atmosphere. "Just imagine that I have only a business card and I am sending someone a letter. The chance that it will be read, is small. A completely different matter is a personal contact and the emotions you experienced during the acquaintance. And this is the main feature of business meetings held at IMG Show", Byulbyul Alieva, marketing manager of Calypso Travel & Event, shares her impressions and recommends the exhibitors to be as much organized and concentrated as possible in order to fit your self-presentation into the time schedule, which increases the efficiency of your company`s participation in IMG Show.

IMG Show Caucasus Chapter has brought new experience to the organizers themselves, because it was the first IMG Show held by ABT-ACTE Russia abroad. The representatives of the company also emphasized the importance of a personal contact between the exhibitors and Hosted Buyers. "No matter how perfect communication technologies are, nothing will replace a personal contact. It is most noticeable on the example of hospitable Georgia where personal contacts and trust play a very important role in communication", is the opinion of Julia Selivanova, head of educational projects of ABT-ACTE Russia.

IMG Show Caucasus Chapter was held in Tbilisi from May 30th to June 3rd. The main business part, a MICE workshop, was held in Republic Event Hall platform on May 31st. After it the guests had an opportunity to attend a gala dinner, to enjoy an entertainment and a sightseeing program in Tbilisi and to take part in weekend fam tours to the neighbouring cities.
