2014 HR week: how to behave at an interview?

«Russian HR Week 2014», the show-forum devoted to efficient staff management and training, HR strategies and internal communication will take place in Zurab Tsereteli Gallery in Moscow on April 17 — 20th, 2014. The Russian Association of Business Travel is the informational partner of the event.

Main topics of the forum include:

— Staff crisis in Russia — the problem that is still urgent

— Where to find a qualified employee and how to develop his skills?

— How to introduce new technologies and not to lose older staff?

The forum will consist of three parts and include the most important issues of HR and management.

First part: the latest trends in HR, recruiting, HR development of the brand. State of the labour market. Advanced technologies and methods of staff recruitment, adaptation and training. Corporate culture and HR analytics.

Second part: settlement of strategic issues. Staff as a global problem and the basis of modern business. Employee’s proficiency, motivation and efficiency, financial and non-financial encouragement.

Third part: practical workshops and master classes for HR managers. Discussions, business games, special projects by top speakers.

One of the issues discussed at the forum will be the interview process. In particular, event participants will discuss things you should not do during your first interview with a prospective employer. Here is some advice on this subject:

— Do not be late for the interview

— Find out where you are going. You should have at least some idea of what the company does and what position you are applying for. Read the vacancy announcement carefully.

— Do not be afraid of communication. Tell the employer about yourself clearly, with dignity, without unnecessary details.

— Turn off your mobile phone

— Do not exaggerate your experience. An applicant who gets confused with his information looks pitiful.

— Be confident. An interview is not an examination, but a talk between two equals. It is not only them, but also you, who choose.

Speakers include reputed practicing experts: Michael Germershausen (Antal Russia), Dmitry Potapenko (Management Development Group Inc.), Alena Vladimirskaya (Pruffi), Elena Revyakina (Petrova) (Pony Express), Nadya Minde (Baltika Breweries), Valeriya Dvortsevaya (Visavi Consult), Igor Mann (Mann-Ivanov-Ferber), Andrey Parabellum (Infobusiness2.ru), Alexey Mironov (Ancor), Ekaterina Rodionova (Sberbank), Alexander Petrischev (Igrox).
