Business travel experts upgraded their skills at ABT-ACTE Russia training course

ABT-ACTE Russia announces enrolment to a new «Travel manager» course in February 2016. The educational program is focused at those who already have working experience in the business travel industry. Prospective students are employees of Russian and international companies whose job responsibilities include business travel, as well as secretaries, assistants, employees of procurement and HR departments — those who deal with business trip arrangement. Classes are held in the evening.

«The company I work in sent me to the „Travel manager“ course, because our management is interested in professional growth of business travel experts. As for me personally, I am interested in this industry, its development stages and novelties, as well as in communication with colleagues from other companies» Alana Rubaeva from Rosoboronexport who attended the previous course in November shared her impressions. And Maria Kuzmina from Johnson & Johnson notes that she received additional information on the industry and broadened her knowledge in several subjects that were not covered in detail during ABT-ACTE Russia educational sessions.

Thus, during the November course Marianna Krechetnikova (JTI M&S, Russia) told the students about dangerous situations employees may find themselves in during business trips. And she gave valuable advice — the ways to ensure business travellers` safety during the trip and to provide them with due help and support in case of emergency. At another class the expert spoke about the main aims, provisions, particular aspects of travel policy development and introduction.

Aleksandra Perekalskaya (Leroy Merlin) spoke about reports as an efficient tool of cost control. And Vera Chelenk (BNP Paribas) gave the audience information on what sourses you can get information from to prepare reports and what you can save on. Agreements and mutual settlements were the topic of Irina Kostyukova`s speech (Kaspersky Lab). During the course the expert also told the audience about the ways, types and goals of communication. Marianna Uspenskaya (Siemens LLC) shared her procurement experience.

The ways to book tickets at a good rate and to cancel them without a penalty, what ticket price consists of, benefits of airline alliance membership, the difference between service classes and booking codes, the ways to avoid overbooking — all these topics were presented by Natalia Poroshina (ZCTS).

«The aviation topic was the most interesting for me, because corporate buyers seldom contact airlines directly, so they do not have full information on such aspects of their work», Ms Kelmurzina noted. «Procurement topic was also very interesting, because I have not arranged tenders myself so far».

«The course includes all the most important topics. I would also like to hear an expert from a state-owned company speaking, and not an expert from an international one. The reason is that not all the innovations that are introduced by international and commercial companies may be used in a state corporation», Anna Rubaeva added. «In my turn, I would like to thank all the masterminds and organizers of the course for creating such a platform for getting new knowledge, exchanging experience and getting acquainted with industry experts. You have done great work!»
