Year of tourism in the CIS
The International Economic Forum «CIS and New Cooperation Forms» for business leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States will take place in Moscow on March 14, 2014. Informational partner of the event is the Russian Association of Business Travel.
The annual forum is a unique platform for dialogue devoted to the elimination of barriers in economic integration on the Eurasian space and for discussion of its prospective projects. Starting from 2010 the International Economic Forum of the CIS states has gained the reputation of the necessary structure among organizations that form the modern Commonwealth. The forum will take place on the day of a scheduled meeting of the CIS Economic Council.
Participants of the forum include members of the CIS Economic Council, heads of the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission, heads of ministries and departments of CIS members, leading managers of industry-based unions, representatives of travel industry unions and associations, banking and other financial structures, businessmen, representatives of analytical and expert centres, scientific and educational establishments, mass media and foreign partners.
The main task of the forum is the strengthening of economic cooperation. In particular, the agenda of the forum will include prospects of stable economic growth, financial tools and ways to implement innovative projects and to increase industrial economic cooperation and other hot topics of multilateral economic cooperation.
2014 was declared the Year of Tourism in the Commonwealth of Independent states. This decision was taken at the meeting of the heads of states in Minsk on October 25th, 2013. One of priority tasks was elaboration of cooperation development strategy in the travel industry till 2020.
The event will take place in the Congress hall of the World Trade Centre.
